The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled single habaki. waves are engraved.
Blade length : 69.7cm or 27.4 inches.
Sori :1.515cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.975 cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.26 cm or 0.88 inches.
Kasane : 0.51 cm or 0.20 inches.
The weight of the sword 750 grams.
Era : Edo period Kanei era.
Shape : Suriage Mumei, wide and thick sword
with deep Sori and longer Kissaki. Good shape sword.
Jigane : Itame-Hada well grained, Jinie attached and Chikei is visible.
Shinogi: Ietame-Hada with Masame.
Hamon: Niedeki deep Nioikuchi Gunome-Midare, especially, work strong around Monouchi area.

From Aoi Art: This sword was judged by NBTHK as Horikawa Kunitoku of Edo period.
In our opinion, the Hamon looks like Dewa Daijo Fujiwara Kunimichi.

Koshirae: handachi Koshirae
Tsuba: Shakudo Tsuba.
Menuki:Shishi dogs are engraved with gold color.
Fuchi:Shakudo Nanako, Kiri is engraved with gold color.
Kashira:Shakudo, plants are engraved.
Saya: Black color Kizami Saya with Aogai Chirashi.
