Shape: Wide and thick blade with deep curvature. The point is extended, and both sides feature Bo-Hi (groove) and Soe-Hi (auxiliary groove), making it a well-proportioned work.
Jigane: Ko-Itame Hada mixed with Mokume Hada, with visible Utsuri.
Hamon: Small Gunome Midare with Ko-Ashi and mixed with Yubashiri.
Features: Norimitsu is a highly esteemed swordsmith, and it is believed that he did not inscribe a common name on his works from the beginning of his career.
Aoi Art’s Comment: This piece from the Eiroku period, being almost as long as a full-length sword at 59.6 cm, is a masterpiece featuring a Katte-Agari Hi (rising groove) and Soe-Hi. It’s an exceptional work we highly recommend.
