Aoi Art’s Comment: This tanto is wide and thick, making it a solid piece. Unfortunately, there is a flaw about 5-6 cm from the Habaki. It’s a work that left a Ububa. The koshirae likely dates back to the same period as the wakizashi was made, being simple yet well-crafted. The handle is finished with skin and remains usable today. The seppa features meticulous work with gold wrapped around plain copper, reflecting Nobushige’s careful craftsmanship as a former samurai.
