Kasane: 0.7cm or 0.3inches.

Shape: The blade is broad and thick with 5cm Ububa. There are Bohi on the both sides.
Jigane: Koitamehada is very dense and elaborate.
Hamon: Niedeki Chojimidare with Gunomemidare. Boshi turns back round.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round-shaped iron Tsuba with openwork engraving. Made in around the mid Edo period. The inscription is unclear.
Fuchikashira: made of iron
Saya: Black Roiro Saya
Menuki: Modern work. Dragonfly is engraved with gold color.


Sho: Wakizashi

Features: The Horii family has been engaged in sword making from the end of the Edo period to the present. Horii Tanetada, born in 1954 in Hokkaido has received many awards.
