Uebayashi Tsunehira was born in 1949, won many awards and became a Mukansa swordsmith in 1985. He reveived Intangible Cultural Property of Yamagata prefecture.
It is difficult to make Kanmuriotoshi and mitsumune style tanto. The carving of the blade is good. This sword presents his great skill.
