Explanation: This Tanto was made by Kiyotomo for Mr.Sato Keita in February 2006.

We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku, and Regular Saku.
This piece is ranked as Jyojyo Saku for Kiyotomo’s work.

Habaki: Single gold foil.

Shape: A tanto with a wide body and solid thickness.
Jigane: well-grained Itame hada with Jinie.
Hamon: The nie creates a deep nioiguchi in an inverted clove style with a midare pattern resembling gunome.
The ashi works well, and the boshi is sharp with a deep return.

Features: Matsui Kiyotomo was born in 1971, and learned from Miyairi Kiyohira. In general, swords made to order are made with particular care and are said to be of excellent workmanship.
