Shape: Well-proportioned with a broad and thick construction, featuring a sharp point.
Jigane: Fine koitame hada, well-knit resembling the work from Yamashiro province.
Hamon: Straight (Suguha) with active small ashi, the boshi is rounded with a tightly packed yakidashi.

Features: The Hokke is a work related to religion, typically featuring straight hamon.

Aoi Art’s Comment: This sword is healthy with a mix of straight, burl, and straight grain patterns evident on the surface. The slight reflections on the ground reveal the excellent quality of this piece. This is a work from the Nanbokucho period, likely around the Enbun or Jotei era. It is a magnificent piece that we highly recommend.
