Special feature: Kashu Kiyohira is also known as Tsujimura Gorouemon, the 4th son of Jinroku Kanewaka the 1st. There is a blade that has engraving of “Gyonen 70 Sai”(70 years old) made in Genroku 2, so we know he was born in Gennna 6. He moved to the east area in Shouoh 2. At that time, he became a employed swordsmith of Inaba family, and moved to Odawara. However, he already engraved “Oite Bushu Edo Tsukuru Kore” with a production date of Shouoh 2, so he must have moved to Edo in Shouoh 2 or earlier. He started to engrave “Soshu Hachimanyama Ju Kiyohira” in Kanbun 2, and engraved only “Tsujimura Kiyohira” in Manji 2. So he was in Odawara between that time.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round-shaped Shakudo Tsuba. Waves and dragon are engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Iron plate. Japanese hand fan is engraved with gold color. Mei- Ichiyousai Hironao Saku Koka 4 Hinoto Hitsuji Ki Fuyu
Saya: Dark-brown Ishimeji Saya
Menuki: Tiger is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: Kashu Kiyohira was an ace swordsmith who were good at Soshuden. He made lots of Gunomemidare with uneven changes of height. Boshi is Niedeki Hakikake. This blade is broad and thick and has enough thickness. Jigane is beautiful with strong Gunomemidare Hamon. Koshirae is also nicely-made. We truly recommend this to you.
