The body has a width of 3.43 cm and a broad kasane (thickness), solid and robust. The
meat placement is good, and the remaining sharp edge is about 3 cm until modern
times, which is impressive. It has been about 339 years since its creation.
Jigane: Fine itame-hada (wood grain pattern) and refined jigane (base steel) with visible jifu (crystalline patterns).
Hamon (Temper): Starts with a straight temper from the ha (cutting edge), gradually
turning into gunome-midare (undulating pattern), showing rough activities similar to
swords from other provinces. The tip and back are double-edged.

Characteristics: 2nd generation of Yamashiro Daijo. Known as Daigetsu Denshiro and was based in Edo Mizuta.

From Aoi Bijutsu: This piece, known as “Edo Mizuta,” is a robust work with a
weight of 685 grams and a motohaba of 3.43 cm. It’s a healthy piece and is
recommended due to its rarity and sturdiness.
