Curvature: 1.9 cm (0.75 in).
Mekugi Hole: 2.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.01 cm (1.19 in).
Width at Tip: 2.22 cm (0.87 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.71 cm (0.28 in).
Sword Weight: 845 g.
Era: Edo period, around Keio (1865–1868).
Shape: Wide blade, suriage (shortened), with deep curvature and an extended kissaki, forming a well-balanced shape.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada well forged with abundant ji-nie, producing a beautiful steel surface.
Hamon: Nie-deki, gunome-midare with well-defined ashi, containing sunagashi and kinsuji.
Boshi: Midare-komi, returning in a small maru, deeply tempered back.
Yaki enters the shinogi-ji.
Features: Although the curvature suggests an older appearance, the jigane is relatively fresh, and the sword was attributed to Araki Kiyoshige by the Sword Museum.
Minamoto Kiyoshige was a student of Kiyohito of the Kiyomaro school, also known as Araki Naoe, and served as a swordsmith for the Sunpu domain with the title Harima no Kami.
He passed away on July 15, 1919.

Menuki: Chrysanthemum flowers carved and colored with gold.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo nanako ground with peony design in gold.
Kashira: Horn.
Saya (Scabbard): Black stone-textured finish.
Aoi Art’s Comment: Although unsigned, this is a work by Araki Naoe, a student of Kiyohito of the Kiyomaro school.
It is a long blade with a brilliant hamon.
