Shape: A well-proportioned blade with standard mihaba and kasane, deep curvature, a bohi, and a slightly elongated kissaki.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with prominent utsuri, producing a beautiful and refined jigane.
Hamon: Nie-deki gunome-midare with subtle kinsuji visible upon close inspection. The boshi enters midare and returns with a pointed tip.

Features: Bishū Osafune Morimitsu is regarded as one of the finest swordsmiths of the Ōei-Bizen tradition, particularly admired for the beauty of his jigane. His works typically display a nioi-based gunome-midare mixed with chōji-midare, together with an exceptionally refined jigane. Along with Morimitsu, Sanemitsu, and Yasumitsu, he was one of the three outstanding Osafune smiths active during the Ōei era. This blade exhibits especially beautiful jigane with distinct utsuri. The boshi forms an irregular pattern that tapers to a shape resembling a candle wick. The blade has been expertly polished and is an excellent example of his workmanship.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Nanban-style iron tsuba with openwork carvings of a dragon and arabesque motifs, highlighted with gold iroe.
Fuchikashira: Carved with figures and landscape scenes, decorated with gold nunome-zōgan.
Saya (Scabbard): Kawari-nuri saya with a kaerumata (ray-skin-like) finish and inrō-bori carving.
Menuki: Stone lantern and pine tree motif with gold iroe.
Kozuka: Shakudo nanako kozuka carved with floral motifs and decorated with gold and silver iroe. Comes with kogatana.
