“磨斧作針 (Mafu Sakushin)” is a proverb meaning that no matter how difficult or impossible something may seem, if one perseveres patiently—like grinding down an iron axe (or pestle) into a needle—it can ultimately be achieved.
“磨励自彊 (Marei Jikyō)” is a four-character idiom meaning to refine, encourage, and strengthen oneself. It represents a philosophy of continuous self-improvement and perseverance, often used as a personal motto to strive forward even in challenging circumstances.
