Habaki: Single Silver Habaki.
Blade Length: 64.6 cm (25.43 in).
Curvature: 1.8 cm (0.71 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.15 cm (1.24 in).
Width at Yokote: 2.2 cm (0.87 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.88 cm (0.35 in).
Sword Weight: 890 g.
Era: Showa 19 (1944).
Shape: The blade has a substantial width, an extended kissaki, and deep curvature, creating an excellent overall shape.
Jigane: Fine ko-itame hada is tightly forged, producing a refined steel surface.
Hamon: Nie-deki, gunome-midare.
The blade is polished in a sashikomi style, allowing the entire hamon to be clearly observed.
The boshi is midare-komi.

Features: Musashi Kuni Akitomi was an Rikugun Jumei Tosho swordsmith from Saitama Prefecture.
His real name was Koyano Akitomi.
He studied under Kurihara Akihide and continued forging swords throughout his career.

Koshirae: Naval Military Mounts.

Historical Background: As indicated by the inscription “New Spring, Showa 19 (1944),” this sword was made when the war was approaching its final stage.
It was a period when swordsmiths devoted themselves to producing the highest quality blades possible under difficult circumstances.

This blade has been well polished and displays solid workmanship.
The mounts are naval military style fittings.
