Features: “Yamato Shizu” originally refers to works made by Kanetsugu during the period when he lived in Yamato and signed with the name Kaneuji, before moving to Shizu in Tagi District of Mino Province.
However, after he moved to Mino, there were also swordsmiths in Yamato who used the Kaneuji signature, and in a broader sense these are also referred to as Yamato Shizu.
This sword shows abundant gunome-midare with well-developed ji-nie and strong jigane.
The hamon mixes gunome, ko-gunome, and choji elements, fully demonstrating the characteristic features of Yamato Shizu.
