Aoi Art’s Comment: This is an exceptionally healthy blade.
It was commissioned in April 1807 by a minor daimyo, Kyogoku Takanori of Toyooka domain (15,000 koku).
Enju Kunihide is known for forging auspicious swords.
Though the domain's stipend was small, it held the status of daimyo, and it is said the family was active after the abolition of feudal domains.
This sword is a remarkable piece made on daimyo order and is highly recommended.
