This blade is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the works of Seki Ju Kanemichi and Kanetoki.

Habaki: Double gold-foiled habaki.
Blade Length: 74.2 cm (29.21 in).
Curvature: 1.9 cm (0.75 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.80 cm (1.50 in).
Width at Yokote: 2.80 cm (1.10 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.70 cm (0.28 in).
Sword Weight: 830 g.
Era: 1981.
Shape: A wide and substantial blade with deep bohi, giving it a powerful appearance.
Jigane: Well-forged, tightly compact ko-itame hada forming a fine-quality jigane. An excellent example of their workmanship.
Hamon: Suguha in nie-deki with fine ko-nie and active ko-ashi.

Features: This blade is a collaborative work by Seki Ju Kanemichi and Kanetoki. It is a faithful reproduction of a Kamakura-period sword and is believed to have been modeled after the style of the Aoe school.

Koshirae:

Tsuba: Mokko-shaped iron tsuba decorated with scrolling vine motifs (modern).
Fuchikashira: Iron ground decorated with the Kuyo crest and scrolling vine motifs in gold (modern).
Saya (Scabbard): Black ishime-ji lacquered saya.
Menuki: Salmon and mouse motif (modern).

Aoi Art’s Comment: Kanemichi was a former Rikugun Jumei Tosho (Army-appointed swordsmith) and received awards from the Army Swordsmith Technical Encouragement Association. He trained many disciples, and this blade is a collaboration with his son, Kanetoki. Kanetoki was also a highly accomplished swordsmith, receiving the Encouragement Award and the Effort Award on seven occasions, and is well known for the high quality of his work.
