This work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku for Akita ju Mitsuryushi Shigetoshi.
Habaki: Solid copper, single layer.
Blade Length: 69.24 cm (27.26 in).
Curvature: 1.52 cm (0.60 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.31 cm (1.30 in).
Width at Tip (Sakihaba): 2.19 cm (0.86 in).
Thickness (Kasane): 0.84 cm (0.33 in).
Sword Weight: 815 g.
Era: Dated December, Keio 3 (1867), just before the Meiji era.
Shape: Wide blade with substantial thickness and standard curvature.
Jigane: Well-forged itame hada, with the grain clearly visible.
Hamon: Nie-deki, ko-choji midare with active ashi, and a boshi that turns back in a rounded manner.

Features: Akita ju Mitsuryushi Shigetoshi was a very rare swordsmith, and as the Meiji era began, he encountered the Haitorei (Sword Abolishment Edict) before he could fully demonstrate his abilities.
It is truly regrettable, as he was a swordsmith of considerable skill.
There were few swordsmiths in Akita, making this a highly recommended work.

Koshirae: A reproduction of the National Treasure Shunuri Kin-hirumaki Koshirae of Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
Tsuba: Solid copper ground with namako-sukashi design.
Fuchi: Vermilion lacquer.
Kashira: Gold maki-e.
Saya (Scabbard): Vermilion lacquer with gold maki-e.
Menuki: High-relief dragon design with gold coloring.
