This blade is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the works of Masatsune.

Habaki: Single-layer copper habaki with gold iroe.
Blade Length: 36.3 cm (14.29 in).
Curvature: 1.0 cm (0.39 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.39 cm (0.94 in).
Width at Yokote: 1.67 cm (0.66 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.51 cm (0.20 in).
Sword Weight: 215 g.
Era: Late Edo period.
Shape: A slightly slender wakizashi.
Jigane: Exceptionally well-forged ko-itame hada producing a fine-quality steel surface.
Hamon: Ko-nie-deki suguha with a tight nioiguchi.
The boshi returns in a rounded form.

Features: The first-generation Masatsune began working during the Keicho era of the Shinto period, and the lineage continued through the eighth, ninth, and tenth generations, spanning the Kansei, Koka, and Keio eras.
Although the signature on this blade closely resembles the early style, its period of manufacture suggests that it was forged by one of the eighth, ninth, or tenth generations.
This is an excellent later work by Masatsune and has been designated NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Token.

Tsuba: Round iron tsuba with openwork hollyhock (aoi) leaves.
Signature: Echizen ju Kinai Saku.
Fuchikashira: Decorated with fence and vine motifs, highlighted with gold and copper iroe.
Saya (Scabbard): Black ishimeji lacquered saya.
Menuki: Horse motif carved and highlighted with gold iroe.
Kozuka: Shakudo nanako ground carved with a horse motif and highlighted with gold iroe.
Including kogatana.
