Shape:A well-proportioned blade with finely forged ko-itame hada, clearly visible grain.
The base is wide with a slightly deep curvature and an extended kissaki, forming an elegant shape.
Jigane:A small flaw is present in the middle of the front side.
Hamon:A suguha hamon with well-formed ko-ashi, and a round boshi.
A faint utsuri appears.

Features:　Although the blade bears the signature "Bishu Kuni Osafune Sukesada", as it is a consignment item, we do not guarantee the authenticity of the signature.
We regard it as a gimei (false signature), but it is an extremely well-made sword.
It is likely to have been made in the late Muromachi period (late 1500s).　For those who wish to have the tsuka rewrapped, we offer the service for ¥30,000.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Signed "Kofu Ju Shoami". Iron sukashi tsuba.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo nanako-ji base, with high-relief carvings of plum and pine motifs with gold iroe.
Saya (Scabbard): Black carved saya.
Menuki: Shakudo base with plant motifs.
Kozuka: Shakudo nanako-ji with carvings of cranes and plants, highlighted with gold iroe.
