This work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku for Bishu Osafune Norimitsu.
Habaki: Double-layer gold-plated Habaki.
Blade Length: 46.3 cm (18.23 in).
Curvature: 1.2 cm (0.47 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.71 cm (1.07 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 1.63 cm (0.64 in).
Sword Weight: 370 g.
Era: Muromachi period, dated February, Eikyo 5 (1433).
Shape: A slightly slender blade with deep curvature and an extended boshi, showing an excellent overall shape.
Jigane: Fine ko-itame hada, well forged, with utsuri clearly visible. The jigane is well refined, and the shinogi-ji shows a beautiful texture.
Hamon: Nioi-deki, forming a gunome-midare, with a midare-komi boshi.

Features: Bishu Osafune Norimitsu of the first generation was a student of Nagamitsu, and this work corresponds to around the 4th generation. The Norimitsu lineage continued from the Nanbokucho period through to the late Muromachi period. This piece is an उत्कृष्ट work by Bishu Osafune Norimitsu (4th generation), and the koshirae is also superb. It is published in Token Bijutsu, September Reiwa 7 (2025), No. 824, p.31.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round shakudo tsuba carved with chrysanthemum motifs, decorated with gold iro-e, with a gold fukurin rim. Signed Mogarashi Nyudo Soten.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo base with chrysanthemum motifs, decorated with gold iro-e. Made by Mogarashi Nyudo Soten of Hikone, Goshu.
Saya (Scabbard): Black roiro lacquered saya.
Menuki: Shakudo base with chrysanthemum motifs, decorated with gold iro-e.
Kozuka: Shakudo nanako ground with autumn grasses in high relief, decorated with gold and silver iro-e.
Kogai: Shakudo nanako ground with autumn grasses in high relief, decorated with gold and silver iro-e.
Kurikata: Kawarigane; Kaerizuno: Shakudo base with chrysanthemum motifs, decorated with gold iro-e.
