Shape: wide, thin and carved blade with long kissaki.
Jigane: Itame had mixed with Mokume with JInie and fine Chikei. Shinogi-ji is Masame.
Hamon: The hamon begins with a pointed gunome-midare, gradually becoming higher and forming sanbonsugi. The nioikuchi grows deeper, with occasional hotsure visible throughout. The nioikuchi is deep, bright, and clear. The bōshi continues in midare and ends in a yakitsume-style with temper extending into the shinogi as well.
Features: Many swordsmiths working in Seki during the Muromachi period signed with the name Kanemoto, making precise generation attribution difficult. The most renowned among them is Magoroku Kanemoto, who is known for his exceptional cutting ability and is recognized as one of the Saijō Ō Wazamono.
This work displays a beautiful Jigane showing tight patterns. Features such as file marks of tang and the elongated kissaki also reflect the characteristics associated with Magoroku Kanemoto. It is a finely executed blade with a bright and vividly clear appearance.
