Habaki: Double-layer gold-covered.
Blade Length: 50.6 cm (19.92 in).
Curvature: 1.4 cm (0.55 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.54 cm (1.00 in).
Width at Yokote: 1.54 cm (0.61 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.66 cm (0.26 in).
Sword Weight: 440 g.
Era: Late Muromachi period (1336–1573).
Shape: There is a small chip at the hamachi area.
The signature area is largely moved up due to machi-okuri.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada well forged, with utsuri appearing.
Hamon: Nioi-deki, gunome-midare mixed with choji-midare.
The boshi has a double temper line, with kinsuji working, and the tip is hakikake.
Features: Yoshimitsu is a name found among swordsmiths in Tosa as well as in Yamashiro and other provinces.
Tosa Yoshimitsu often produced blades with thick kasane, and most of his works date to the Muromachi period (1336–1573).

Tsuba: Mokko-shaped shakudo nanako tsuba carved with a flower design and colored with gold.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo nanako ground carved with a shell design and colored with gold.
Saya (Scabbard): Black roiro saya with partial carved decoration.
Menuki: Chrysanthemum design in high relief on shakudo ground, partially colored with gold.
Kozuka: Shakudo nanako ground carved with a horse design and colored with gold, signed Goto Mitsuari (kao).
Kogatana: Signed Tango no Kami Fujiwara Hisanaga.
Aoi Art’s Comment: The hamon features choji mixed with gunome-midare, creating a very interesting workmanship.
