This work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the works of Bishu Ju Osafune Sukesada.
Habaki: Gold foiled single layer.
Blade Length: 22.0 cm (8.66 in).
Curvature: 0 cm (0 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.33 cm (0.92 in).
Thickness (Kasane): 0.83 cm (0.33 in).
Sword Weight: 185 grams.
Era: Muromachi period, Eiroku 3 (1560).
Shape: Wide mihaba and thick kasane.
Bonji carvings are engraved on both sides.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada well forged with utsuri appearing.
Hamon: Straight temper line with deep nioiguchi, and the boshi turns back round and deeply.

Features: Bishu Osafune Sukesada was a group of swordsmiths active in the late Muromachi period.
They produced a large number of swords.
Kiyomitsu and others likewise produced many works, and numerous swordsmiths in Mino also created a great quantity of blades.
It is said that battles were mostly fought with katana and tanto.
In the Edo period, samurai came to commute to their respective castles and wore both long and short swords at their waists.
As a result, there was no longer a need to possess tanto, and the production of tanto declined during the Edo period.
Today, many collectors seek rare Shinto tanto.

Menuki: Shishi (lion) design engraved with gold color inlay.
Fuchikashira: The fuchi is engraved with folding fans and a menpo design, and the kashira is modeled after a kabuto helmet, finished with gold color inlay.
