Habaki: Gold-plated double Habaki.
Blade Length: 65.6 cm (25.83 in).
Curvature: 2.4 cm (0.94 in).
Mekugi Hole: 2.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.81 cm (1.11 in).
Width at Tip (Sakihaba): 1.72 cm (0.68 in).
Thickness (Kasane): 0.54 cm (0.21 in).
Sword Weight: 560 grams.

Era: Late Muromachi period, around Tenbun (1532-1555), possibly around Choroku (1457-1460).

Shape: A katana with solid width and thickness.
Deep curvature with a slightly elongated kissaki.

Jigane: Fine ko-itame hada, well forged, resulting in a beautiful steel surface.
Although there are some minor flaws, they are not very noticeable, and it can be described as having a clean and attractive hamon.

Hamon: Ko-nie based suguha with a slightly moist appearance.

Features: The Hozon certificate states Iwami, Tenbun era, but due to the strong curvature, I believe it may date slightly earlier, possibly around the Choroku era (1457-1460).
The jigane is often rougher in many examples, but this piece has exceptionally fine steel, which is quite rare.
The polishing is also उत्कृष्ट.

Tsuba: Round iron tsuba with brass inlay.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo nanako ground with pine needle design in gold iroe.
Saya (Scabbard): Black roiro lacquered saya.
Menuki: Shakudo base with cranes by the waterside, decorated in gold and silver iroe.
