Thickness of Rim: 0.67 cm (0.26 in).
Sword Weight: 690 grams.
Era: Edo period, Kaei 6 (1853).
Shape: The blade has a wide body, thick kasane, a deep curve, and a large kissaki, which is considered a good shape.
Jigane: Fine koitame hada well forged with a clear muji style jigane.
Hamon: Boisterous nie, deep nioiguchi with gunome midare, active ashi, and varied boshi.

Features: Oushu Aizu Ju Miyoshi Nagamichi’s works are very similar to those of Aizu Ju Kanesada and were beloved by the people of Aizu.

Aoi Art’s Comment: This is a work by Oushu Aizu Ju Miyoshi Nagamichi from the 6th year of Kaei, featuring a deep nioiguchi, active small ashi, and an extended kissaki. It remains in a healthy condition with the original sharp edge preserved.
On the side of Nenki mei, there is a scratch of about 2mm between the shinogi-ji and the mune, approximately 15cm from the tip, and a small chip in the blade about 3cm long, 2cm above the habaki. Please make your purchase with understanding.
