Shape : Wide and thick sword with O-Kissaki. Good shape sword
Jigane : Ko-Itame-Hada well grained. Jinie attached and Chikei is beautiful.
Hamon : Nie-Deki Gunome-Midare, deep Nioikuchi, Togari-Gunome-Midare mixed. Sunagashi and Kinsuji worked.
Boshi: Deep Nioikuchi sharp round shape, Hakikake style and Chikei is visible.
Special feature: Oku Yamato Ason Motohira is Satsuma sword smith and the eldest son of Oku Motonao. He born in 1744 and dead in 1827, when he was 83 years old. He and Hoki Kami Masayuki is 2 top ranking swords smiths of Satsuma-Shinshinto.
Koshirae:
Tsuba: Irregularly shaped iron tsuba with openwork carving of pine trees.
Menuki: Horse motif.
Fuchikashira / Kojiri: Iron base decorated with cherry blossoms and patterns in gold.
Saya (Scabbard): Black roiro lacquer saya.
From Aoi Art: This sword was made in Kyowa 3rd and Motohira was 60 years old at this moment. Motohira engrave his Mei by the original technic to easy to figure out a genuine and a fake. But these day his technic was turned out and there are a lot of fake swords. Especially, please be careful with his sword with Bo-hi.
