Blade Length: 72.2 cm (28.43 in).
Curvature: 1.2 cm (0.47 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.50 cm (1.38 in).
Width at Tip (Sakihaba): 2.42 cm (0.95 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.76 cm (0.30 in).
Sword Weight: 940 grams.
Era: Showa 56 (1981).
Shape: A powerful blade with wide mihaba and thick kasane.
Bo-hi grooves are carved on both sides.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada that is tightly packed.
Regrettably, there is a flaw around the middle of the blade.
Hamon: Nie-deki, forming a gunome-midare pattern with well-defined ashi.
Features: Hizen no Kuni Yoshihiro is a swordsmith from Fukuoka Prefecture, born in 1945 (Showa 20).
After graduating from university, he studied under the Living National Treasure swordsmith Sumiya Masamine.
Later he won numerous awards at the Shinsaku Meito Exhibition and became a Mukansa swordsmith.
