Shape: wide and almost straight blade with sharp kissaki.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada with Komoku with much Jinie.
Hamon: Nie-deki Ko-gunome and Ko-choji midare with Ashi.

Features: The first-generation Kawashima Tadayoshi was a swordsmith from Shimane, born in 1892. He received high recognition in the Seidai Tōshō Iretsu Ichiran, a ranking list that evaluated contemporary swordsmiths of the time. His son, the second-generation Tadayoshi, who succeeded his father, was certified as Mukansa (exempt from competition appraisal).
