Shape: wide and thick stout blade with slightly big curveture. Boshi is carved on the coth sides.
Jigane: fine Ko-itame hada with much Jinie.
Hamon: Nie base thick Suguha and Notare with Ko-ashi.

Features: Yasutsugu the 1st generation initially served Ieyasu's son Yuki Hideyasu in Echizen and later served the Shogun family in Edo. He received the character “Yasu, 康” from Ieyasu's name and was allowed to carve the hollyhock crest on the Nakago. The 2nd generation was the son of the 1st Yasutsugu and continued to serve the shogunate in Edo. The style and workmanship are similar to the 1st generation, these two in particular are considered the outstanding swordsmiths of the family that followed.
