Habaki: Gold-plated double habaki.

Curvature: 2.1 cm (0.83 in).

Shape: O-suriage mumei, with wide mihaba, thick kasane, deep curvature, and an extended kissaki.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada well forged, forming a refined and excellent jigane.
Hamon: Nie deki with a complex and vigorous midare pattern, showing utsuri, and the boshi is midarekomi.

Features: Kanenaga was known as a disciple of Nagayoshi and also as an O-Wazamono smith.
This sword is a dignified and imposing work.
The nioi-deki works actively, and the utsuri appears clearly, making this an enjoyable piece to appreciate.

Aoi Art’s Comment: Kanenaga belonged to the Nagayoshi lineage, and his hamon is characterized by rich and active midare patterns, with a tendency for a large and extended kissaki.
Following the tradition of the Kanenaga school, this work shows an extended kissaki and a lively midare hamon in nioi-deki with visible utsuri, presenting a healthy and impressive blade.
