Features: Takahashi Kinichi Sadatsugu was a swordsmith from Ehime Prefecture who was designated as a Holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property, namely a Living National Treasure.
He produced many votive swords dedicated to shrines and presentation pieces for the Imperial Household, and in 1938 he received the Prime Minister’s Award at the 1st Sword Exhibition.

Curvature: 2.1 cm (0.83 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.17 cm (1.25 in).
Width at Yokote: 2.13 cm (0.84 in).
Thickness (Kasane): 0.8 cm (0.31 in).
Sword Weight: 705 g.
Shape: Wide mihaba with slightly thick kasane and deep curvature.
The kissaki is also well-proportioned and elegant.
Jigane: Well-forged itame hada with a darkish tone, forming refined jigane.
Hamon: Nie-deki with a deep nioiguchi, showing very good workmanship.
The boshi turns back in a rounded manner.
