Mumei (Unsigned)(Cho Aritoshi, 長有俊)
Features: Cho Aritoshi was a swordsmith of the Taima school in Yamato Province. It is said that the first generation was active in the late Kamakura period, and the second generation around the beginning of the Nanbokuchō period. According to the Jūyō Zufu of this piece, this work is believed to have been made around the Kenmu era(1334-1338).

Blade Length: 36.7 cm (14.45 in).
Curvature: 1.0 cm (0.39 in).
Mekugi Holes: 2.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.93 cm (1.15 in).
Thickness of Rim (Kasane): 0.60 cm (0.24 in).
Sword Weight: 370 g.
Shape: Well-proportioned width and thickness, with slightly deep curvature.
Made in shobu-zukuri style with high sori, carved with a splendid kaen Fudo Myo-o on both sides, and a kenmakiryū on the ura.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada, forming a beautiful Hizen jigane.
Hamon: Ko-nie deki, suguha.
The nioiguchi is deep, with well-placed ashi, and the boshi turns back in komaru.
