Aoe is the swordsmith school florishd from the Kamakura period to the Nanbokucho period around Takahashi river in the west of Okayama pref, and left many masterpiece. Those from around the mid-Kamakura period to the Nanbokucho period are called Aoe, and those before the Nanbokucho period are called Koaoe(old Aoe).
This Aoe sword stands out for its exceptional craftsmanship and intense reflection on the blade. It is highly praised by experts, including Professor Tanano, for its outstanding quality.

Jigane: Ko Itame Hada well grained. The Jigane is clear and beautiful. A Kizu can be seen about 7 cm from the Hamachi on the right side.
Hamon: Sudareba Hamon. Bosho is Midarekomi and Hakikake style.
