Special feature: Taima school is said to be founded by Kuniyuki around the mid Kamakura period. Yamato swordsmiths and temples in Nara province are connected closely. And Taima school is said to be subordinate to Taima temple. It is seldom that their works have signatures and most works are Mumei and judged. Works with Kuniyuki Mei normally has Itamegokoro Jigane with mainly Suguha Hamon with Sunagashi: very mild style, while Taima school works have extreme Nie and Kinsuji like Soshuden works.

Sori : 1.7cm or 0.66 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.15cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.27cm or 0.89 inches.
Kasane :0.68 cm or 0.26 inches.
The weight of the sword 750 grams
Shape : Regular width and thickness sword. Sori is deep and Kissaki is longer, good shape sword.
Jigane : Ko-Itame-Hada well grained, Mokume-Hada mixed and Utsuri is visible.
Hamon: Niedeki Gunome-Midare, Ko-Gunome-Midare mixed. Ashi, Yo, Sunagashi and Kinsuji worked. Boshi is Midaire-Komi style and Sunagashi, Kinsuji worked.
