Special feature: The Yamato sword makers are well communicated
with temple and shrine. Tegai school was working
at western part of Todaiji temple and made swords for temple’s priest soldiers. The founder of the Tegai school was Kanenaga Kamakura period Shoou era. This school was working from Kamakura period to Nanbokuchi and Muromachi period.
The blade is Osuriage Mumei, wide Shinogi. There are lot of works in the Ha.
This is typical Tegai school blade.

Kasane : 0.6 cm or 0.23 inches.
The weight of the sword: 855grams.
Shape : Wide and thick Katana with nice Sori.
Jigane :Itame Hada and Mokume Hada grained with Jinie attach.
There are Chikei.
Shinogi-Ji: Itame Hada Masanagare.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare.
Boshi is Ichimai Fu, Togari and large Yakisage style.
