The founder of the Tegai school was Kanenaga started from Syoo era or more old (1288)
The tegai school continued to Late Muromachi and also Edo period.

Weight of the blade: 210 grams
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with sakizori style healthy blade.
Jigane :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach and chikei work.
Hamon :Niedeki deep nioikuchi gunome midair hamon with ashi,
sunagashi and also kinsuji work like summer clouds in the sky.
Boshi is round shape.
