Sakakura Gonnoshin Terukane Enpo 9 Nen 2 Gatsu Kichijitsu (February 1681)

Special feature:The sakakura gonnoshin is called 2nd generation Kanesada
and succeeded from first generation. But first generation’s son
became young, he gave him as successor and found
independent individuual sword maker and named Sakakura
Gonnoshin Terukane at around Enpo 8th.
He adored Tsuda Echizen Kami Sukehiro and imitated his sword
texture and active Doranba hamon.
This blade consist of koitame hada nad komokume hada well
grained with jinie attach and chikei work. In Hamon, beautiful long
kinsuji and sunagashi work and soft feeling ashi work.
His favorite speciality Doranba, Oogunome midare hamon are
made by bright and clear active hamon. This sword is one of the
best masterpiece of his Doranba hamon and also the date
of Enpo 9th precious data.

Shape : O-suriage mumei sword which is wide and thin.
Jigane :Itame-hada and Oitame-hada mixed.
Hamon :Nie-deki, deep Nioikuchi and gonome-Midare. Duble-ha. Sunagare and Kinsuji work.
