Nobukuni (Saemonjo)

Special feature: Nobukuni is a sword smith during Nanbokucho period to middle Muromachi period.
His blades are highly regarded since that time.
We are sure that this Nobukuni is Saemonjo without doubt.
The shape is elegant. Unfortunately there are some rough texture.
But Nobukuni’s blades and Rai school’s blades tend that.

Blade length : 67 cm or 26.37 inches.
Sori : 2.3 cm or 0.90 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.71 cm or 1.06 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.72 cm or 0.67 inches.
Kasane : 0.69 cm or 0.27 inches.
Shape : Regular size Katana with large Sori.
Ubu Nakago. There are Bo-Hi and Soe-Hi on both side.
Jitetsu : The mixture of Ko-Mokume Hada and Ko-Itame Hada.
There are nice Utsuri.
Hamon : Ko-Nie Deki, Choji Midare with soft Ashi. There are many Yo. Boshi is Midarekomi Togari gokoro with Ashi.
