Mumei (Den Osafune Motoshige)

Special feature : Bizen Osafune Motoshige was called Okura Jyo. He was the son of Osafune Morishige and the brother of Shigezane.
His work is quite solid work and there is utsuri appearing in the ji.
Many of his hamon is square Kataochi gunome midare with sharp gunome midare.
This work is wide and thick olid work. There is some Hajimi(blurry hamon) however it is the shape of Kamakura period.
It is nice and shape Saijyo Owazamono rank sword.
It is jyojyosaku sword with NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Paper.

Blade length : 35.7 cm or 14.05 inches.
Sori : 0.3 cm or 0.11 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi :2.73cm or 1.07 inches.
Kasane : 0.39cm or 0.15 inches.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and Mitumune style and longer sunnobi tanto
both sides of the blade has Bo-Hi is engraved.
Jitetsu :Koitame had and komokume had mixed with thick nioikuchi and chikei worek.
Also clear Utsuri appear on the ji.
Hamon : konie deck suguha and noter with thick nioikuchi and Togari bo-shi.
