Hizen Koku Kawachi kami Fujiwara Masahiro (Second Generation)

Special feature : Hizen Kawachi no kami Masahiro was from school of first generation Hizen koku Tadayoshi and his name was Hashimoto Yashichiro. He was the son of first generation Masahiro. He cut his first signature as Masanaga and when first generation Masahiro died ,
he has changed his name to Kawachi no kami Masahiro.
After cutting his first signature as Hizen koku Musashi no kami Fujiwara Masaniga he then cut his signature HIzen koku Kawachi no kami Fujiushi Masahiro, Hizen koku Kawachi no kami Fujishi Masahiro, Hizen koku Kawachi no kami Fujiwara Masahiro and so on.
He has passed away at the age of 73 Genroku 12th year.
This katana has deep nioiguchi like summer cloud and there is many activities as sunagashi and kinsuji. On the sayagaki, it is written that it is best piece of second generation Masahiro and it is incomparable with his other piece .
We have seen many HIzen koku Kawachi no kami Fujiwara Masahiro pieces in the past however this Masahiro is truely his best piece and absolutely flawless. It is breath taking sword.

Sori : 1.95 cm or 0.76 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.35 cm or 1.31 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.39 cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.68 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Edo period. around Kansei era(1795).
Shape : The blade is wide and thick healthy blade.
Jitetsu : Iteme had well grained with jinie attach and chikei work and blackish jigane.
Hamon : Niedeki with thick nioikuchi gunome midare.
The hamon constructed by sunagashi and kinsuji.
