Special feature : Sikkake school was founded by Norinaga.
And Shikkake continued some generations.
Shikkake School of Yamato province prospered present Tenri City in Nara pref.
The name Shikkake was from Shikkake-ishi (the stone pedestal settling
down the portable shrine to take a rest on the way of religious services.).
This blade is very similar with Jyuyo bijyutsu Zaimei sword which was belonged to Tokugawa main family Sikkake Norinaga.
The blade hamon and Jigane both healthy and wonderful work(according to the Jyuyo Zufu)
Norinaga was born at Bunei 5th in Kamakura period.
This sword remind us Yamato Hosyo school.
The blade is healthy without Kizu and faults.

Blade length : 70.6 cm or 27.79 inches.
Sori : 1.65 cm or 0.64 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.09 cm or 1.21 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.99cm or 0.78 inches.
Kasane : 0.83 cm or 0.33 inches.
Shape : Bo-hi is engraved both sides of the blade and rather wide and thick healthy blade.
Jitetsu :Itame had well grained with jinie attach and chikei work also Uzumaki had mixed.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair and in Ha, there are many sunagashi and kinsuji work. Boshi is noter and round shape.
