Special feature : Shikkake School of Yamato province prospered present Tenri City in Nara pref.
Five principal swordsmith schools prospered in Yamato province: Tegai, Shikkake, Taema, Senjuin and Hosho.
Norinaga is thought as the substantial founder of Shikakke school.
Dated tanto in 1319, the third year of Bunpo era in late Kamakura period still survive at the age of 69.
Counting backward, Norinaga was born in 1270, the seventh year of Bunei era in Kamakura period.
Later generations Norinaga forged sword to the Muromachi period.
This katana has precious Kinpun mei(gold powder Signature) of Hon-a with kao.

Blade length : 65.28 cm or 25.70 inches.
Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.05 cm or 1.2 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.96cm or 0.77nches
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Shape : regular size Katana with Sori.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach.
Hamon : Niedeki, Suguha. Deep Nioikuchi. There are many Sunagashi and Kinsuji.

1.There are Kesho file pattern.
2. Generally there are douranba and o-gunome style hamon but
you could also see suguha deki
3. Boushi is deep nioiguchi style. Jitetsu is clear and fine style.
