Special feature : The founder of the Ko-Kongo byouei started from Kamakuraa period by Nyusai, Sairen and Jitsua is called Ko Kongo byouei. generally the Jigane is hadatachi jigane item and ooitame had mixed with jinie attach elegant soft feeling vivid texture.
The sword is rather wide and thick healthy blade with Horimono( 2 men are pointed to the sun? (probably the subject was introduced fro ancient story) The blade is dignity beautiful texture.
Recently this kind of texture like Ko-kongo byouei, Sairen, are very popular swords for sword collectors.

Width at the Kissaki : 2.41 cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick healthy blade
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach and small active Chikei work.
Hamon : Niedeki Gunome midare hamon with thick Nioikuchi.
In Ha, there are nice long Kinsuji work and also Sunagashi.
Horimono(carving):There are Bonji(Sanskrit),and Su-ken(Ken) .
