Appraisal Quiz : #244

Previous answer is
Satsuma Kanko Taira Masayoshi/Tenmei 7 Nen Matsu 8 Gatsu(August 1787)

Special feature : He studied from Masachika and also his father.
After his father died, he succeeded his family as 3rd.
After he got the title of Houki Kami, He changed his name to Houki Kami Taira Ason Masayuki.
He tried to teach many student during his life.
He passed away Bunsei 12th age 87 years of old long life.
He was compared with one another Motohira who is also famous swordsmith in Satsuma province. These sword makers are referred to as the twin sword makers of the sword world in Kagoshima.
General speaking Satsuma blades are very thick kawagane and small amount of shingane(inside steal). So even if the blade is very rusty, the blade will be good condition after the polished away rusty parts.
The blade is Sosyu style Shizu utushi because the blade has s lot of activities of Sunagashi, kinsuji and Imozuru work.
Sometimes the blades were cut shortened to be changed to Koto blade like Shizu and Sa, Masamune by bad men.
I can say the blade is top ranking high level quality.
Please consider to obtain this great sword.
