Shape: Suriage blade with the machi moved upward (machi-okuri).

Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with visible utsuri, producing a soft and refined jigane.

Hamon: Suguha. The boshi turns back in a rounded form.

Features: The Mihara school traces its origins to the Kamakura period. Its earliest works are known as Ko-Mihara, those produced during the Muromachi period are referred to as Mihara, and works from the late Muromachi period are classified as Sue-Mihara. This blade displays the characteristic jigane of the Sue-Mihara school, with clearly visible grain.

Koshirae:

Tsuba: Plain copper tsuba with a nanako ground and engraved decorative patterns.
Fuchikashira: Shibuichi fittings carved with a tiger motif.
Saya (Scabbard): Black stone-finish saya.
Menuki: Circular menuki carved with the paulownia crest and decorated with gold iroe.
Kozuka: Shakudo nanako kozuka with high-relief carvings of plants and a monkey. Comes with kogatana.
