This blade is ranked as Jyo Saku among the works of Harima (remaining characters folded over) no Kami Teruhiro.
Habaki: Single silver habaki.
Blade Length: 36.2 cm (14.25 in).
Curvature: 0.6 cm (0.24 in).
Mekugi Hole: 2.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.31 cm (1.30 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.66 cm (0.26 in).
Sword Weight: 360 g.
Era: Edo period, around the Kanei era (1624–1644).
Shape: Suriage with machi-okuri, bearing the remaining signature of Harima no Kami Teruhiro. A bohi is carved on the omote, while double grooves (futasuji-hi) are carved on the ura.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with a clearly visible grain pattern.
Hamon: Nie-deki with deep nioiguchi in gunome-midare. The boshi is pointed and returns deeply.

Features: Harima no Kami Teruhiro, commonly known as Jinpachi, produced works from the Keicho era (1596–1615). This is a particularly robust wakizashi with outstanding workmanship.

Historical Background: From the Azuchi-Momoyama period through the Kanei era (1624–1644) of the Edo period, Japan underwent a dramatic transformation from an age of civil war to one of stable governance. This period witnessed the unification of the country by Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the establishment of the Tokugawa Shogunate by Tokugawa Ieyasu, and the consolidation of the shogunate under the third Tokugawa shogun, Iemitsu, including the implementation of the national seclusion policy (sakoku) and the feudal bakuhan system.
