Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.52 cm (0.20 in).
Era: Edo period, around the Kanei to Kanbun eras (1624-1673).

Shape: Slightly wide mihaba with thick kasane, appropriate curvature, and a slightly extended kissaki.

Jigane: Well-forged and refined beautiful jigane.

Hamon: Suguha near the hamachi, then changes into gunome-midare with a well-defined nioiguchi.
The hamon is bright and clear, with active kinsuji and sunagashi, creating a magnificent toranba-style temper pattern.
The boshi turns back in a rounded manner and is slightly long.

Features: Shinano no Kami Nobuyoshi (1st generation) was one of the representative swordsmiths of Yamashiro Province and among the Kyō-go-kaji.
He was active from the Kanei to Kanbun eras.
This work skillfully displays toranba and exhibits a bright and vivid hamon of excellent workmanship.
