This work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the works attributed to Mumei (Rai Kunihide).
Habaki: Double Habaki with gold coating.
Blade Length: 65.25 cm (25.69 in).
Curvature: 1.52 cm (0.60 in).
Mekugi Hole: 3.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.95 cm (1.16 in).
Width at Yokote: 1.92 cm (0.76 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.58 cm (0.23 in).
Sword Weight: 575 grams.
Era: Nanbokucho period, around Joji era (1362-1368).
Shape: Standard width and thickness with slightly deep curvature, and an elongated Kissaki.
Jigane: Fine ko-itame hada well forged with ji-nie.
Hamon: Nie-deki suguha with well-defined ko-ashi.
The boshi is drooping in style, with a pointed return.

Features: Rai Kunihide was a swordsmith of the Rai school who worked in Yamashiro Province and is said to have been either the legitimate son or a descendant of Rai Kunitoshi.

Tsuba: Round iron tsuba engraved with figures and decorated with gold iro-e.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo nanako ground engraved with pine trees and figures, with gold iro-e.
Saya (Scabbard): Black and vermilion fue-maki style saya.
Menuki: Shakudo ground engraved with floral designs and decorated with gold iro-e.
