Era: the early Edo period around Manji(1658-1661)
Shape: A healthy sword with a wide blade, thick kasane, and slightly deep curvature.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with fine ji-nie.
Hamon: Nie-deki gunome-midare, with the boshi slightly undulating and turning back in a small circle.

The first-generation Iga no Kami Kinmichi moved to Kyoto with his father Seki Kinmichi, his brothers Izumi no Kami Kinmichi, Tanba no Kami Yoshimichi, and Etchu no Kami Masatoshi, where each became active in their craft. From the second generation Kinmichi, he was granted the title of "Nihon Kaji Sosho" (Chief Swordsmith of Japan). From then on, the title "Iga no Kami" and "Nihon Kaji Sosho" were inherited, and the chrysanthemum crest was engraved on the signature.
This piece is a sturdy and well-made sword, showcasing excellent craftsmanship.
