Further explanations:Jingo = the Shimizu school, stands out as one of the most distinctive groups among the Higo metalworkers, continuing from the first generation Jingo through the eighth. Although pronounced the same, the characters for “Jin go” (甚五) and “Jin go” (甚吾) differ; the latter appears primarily in works from the late third to the fifth generations, and occasionally in those of the eighth. The form 甚五, meanwhile, served as the common appellation used by each generation. The family maintained the craft over eight generations, from the early–mid Edo period through the Meiji era.
